Approve Petty Check/Change Funds Account Change for Ballast Point Elementary (Business Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Petty Check/Change Funds are established or altered with School Board approval in compliance with State Board of Education rules Chapter 6a-1.057. These are impressed funds transferred from district budget to the schools so that each school can make emergency purchases and have change to operate lunchrooms and athletic events. In the case or purchases, as funds are expended, the school submits receipts to Accounts Payable. The school is then reimbursed, and the school's budget is reduced by the amount of the purchase.

Ballast Point Elementary requests approval to close bank account number 0656000095011 at Suntrust Bank and to open a new bank account at Wachovia Bank. Signers will be:

  • Mary Cunningham, Principal
  • Debra Fitzpatrick, Assistant Principal
  • Lauren McCarthy, Principal's Secretary
  • Eileen Woodward, Data Processing Clerk
  • Review by the Board Attorney was not required.

    ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

    Goal 6: No school should receive a grade lower than C.

    FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

    Costs incurred for printing new checks and deposit slips will be offset by interest earned on daily balances.
