EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In order to meet the state mandates for class size reduction at the critically overcrowded Alonso High School, it was necessary to expedite the design and construction of 24 additional classrooms. These new facilities are identified in the Classrooms for Kids (CFK) authorization. On April 6, 2004, the Board approved the amendment of existing agreements with Holmes, Hepner and Associates Architects and R. J. Bunbury Company which permitted the reproduction of the prototypical design used for the classroom additions at Armwood, Bloomingdale, Durant, Gaither, Plant City, Riverview, Sickles and Wharton High Schools. The scope of work provides for construction of 24 additional classrooms.
Change Order Nos. 2 and 4 provide for the final reconciliation of the Owner Controlled Insurance Program. Change Order No. 3 provides for the final reconciliation of the Direct Purchase Program.
