FRANKLIN MIDDLE SCHOOL
APPROVAL OF FIRE LINE OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City of Tampa requested a fire line ownership and maintenance agreement with the School District permitting the City to assume ownership and maintenance of (1) 8" x 6" tapping sleeve and valve, (1) 6" double detector check valve assembly, (1) City of Tampa vault, (1) 8" iron pipe, and (1) fire hydrant assembly constructed by the District.

City of Tampa regulations require the developer (in this case, the School District) to construct the improvements within the right-of-way and then dedicate the improvements to the City of Tampa.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Costs for this work were included within the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the renovations and gymnasium addition. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax and 2 Mill.
