Learey Technical Center initiated a fire fighter training program for the City of Plant City in 2005/2006.

The City of Plant City has requested renewal of the Agreement for Educational Services and Facilities Usage for the period July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007. Training will be provided annually to approximately 60 City of Plant City Fire Department employees in the areas of fire fighting science and techniques as well as emergency medical procedures at the City of Plant City Service Academy located at 604 East Alexander Street, Plant City, Florida. This Agreement for Educational Services and Facilities Usage is mutually beneficial for continuation of necessary fire fighter sciences training for the City of Plant City.

All District Goals and Critical Success Factors

This item is included in the divisional general operating budget. The training programs provided for the City of Plant City fire fighters and paramedics generate Workforce Education Funds.

Evaluation will be based on an analysis of the number of fire fighters trained and the number of the Occupational Completion Points earned by June 30, 2007.
