Approve Renewal Agreement for Educational Services and Facilities Usage with the City of Temple Terrace for Fire Fighter Training by Learey Technical Center, 2006/2007 (Adult Technical Education)

Learey Technical Center initiated a training program for fire fighters and paramedics for the City of Temple Terrace Fire Department in 2004/2005.

The City of Temple Terrace has requested renewal of the Agreement for Educational Services and Facilities Usage for the period July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007. Training will be provided annually to approximately 60 City of Temple Terrace Fire Rescue employees in the areas of fire fighting science and techniques as well as emergency medical procedures at the City of Temple Terrace Public Service Academy located at 124 Bullard Parkway, Temple Terrace, Florida. This Interlocal Agreement is mutually beneficial for continuation of necessary fire fighter sciences training for the City of Temple Terrace.

This item is included in the divisional general operating budget. The training programs provided for the City of Temple Terrace fire fighters generate Workforce Education Funds.

Evaluation will be based on an analysis of the number of fire fighters trained and the number of the Occupational Completion Points earned by June 30, 2007.
