Mentor Protege Presentation
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Based on a 1990 recommendation of the Minority Recruitment Taskforce, the district initiated the Mentor/Protege program, a two-year intensive training program for interested certificated, tenured teachers who have been identified as having administrative potential. Since then, eight groups of "Proteges" have taken part in this program opportunity. Each group of "Proteges" is eager to express its gratitude to the School Board and the district in some tangible way.
