SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Consultant Agreement with Dr. Gladis Kersaint to Conduct a Portion of the Evaluation of the Comprehensive School Reform Grant (Information and Technology Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The consultant will perform evaluation duties outlined in the Comprehensive School Reform Grant for the second year of the grant. The implementation of the evaluation will include school-based administration of surveys, school-based research of student achievement data, on-site observations, analyzing data, and writing the second year final report summarizing the findings on the implementation of the program.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

District Goal 5: The District will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by the No Child Left Behind. Critical Success Factor 5c: Design and implement program scheduling to meet the mediation and enrichment needs of students.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The expense of $8,000 is funded from Comprehensive School Reform grant funds.

EVALUATION

The final report for the evaluation of the Comprehensive School Reform grant will be submitted at the end of the project in June 2007.
