EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A renewal Memorandum of Agreement for 2006/2007 for $320,000 has been developed to continue the commitment of the District to this initiative. The FASST2 Project serves 71 elementary schools by means of wraparound teams that function with a system of care values and principles that are flexible, individualized, child centered, family focused, and culturally competent.
School-based FASST Teams served over 400 students and families and developmental screenings were provided at community locations to 873 children. Of the students, 82% improved and maintained school attendance; 98% improved or maintained their level in Reading; 95% improved or maintained their level in Math; and 91% improved or maintained their level in writing. Eighty-two percent of the enrolled students experienced a stable or improving school behavioral rating from their teacher.
