This project is being planned by the architectural firm of Abell Garcia Architects, P.A. On January 13, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of R.J. Bunbury Company, Inc. On December 14, 2004, the Board approved an increase in the project’s initial scope to include the replacement of the existing food service facility identified in the Kitchen Assessment 2004 report prepared by Hinson and Associates. The scope of work provides for the replacement of the existing food service facility with a multi-purpose building and the addition of a two-story building with 12 primary classrooms.

Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facility. Project completion is scheduled for May 25, 2007.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 – Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

Construction cost for the Multi-Purpose Building is warranted at $2,069,136. The construction budget is $2,069,136. Construction cost for the Classrooms for Kids addition is warranted at $1,755,934.
