Approve Renewal Contract with Hillsborough County Volleyball Officials Association for Athletic Contests, 2006-2007 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

This is a negotiated agreement with the local officials’ association for the purpose of providing varsity and junior varsity volleyball officials for scheduled high school and middle school volleyball contests. Officiating fees remained the same; however, travel fees were increased $2 per official/per day scheduled.

The contract amount of $27,702 is included in the Division of Curriculum and Instruction Athletics Department budget. The increase from last year’s contract of $2,692 is attributed to the increase of travel fees of $2 per official/per day scheduled and the addition of two senior high schools and one middle school to the athletic program. The cost increase has been covered within the athletic budget.
