SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services to Secure William D. Panczer to Conduct a Workshop for 20 Teachers at Middleton High School (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The provider shall plan, conduct and evaluate a high school professional development workshop on the implementation of the new Integrated Science II course for 20 teachers at Middleton High School June 18-30, 2006, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Goal 5 - The district will eliminate the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The cost of $1,360.25 will be paid from Staff Development -Title II funds.
EVALUATION
There will be a participant evaluation by the teachers attending the workshop. There will also be a product produced evaluation (June 18 through June 30, 2006) by Nancy Johnson Marsh and The Curriculum Development Committee based on the Sunshine State Standards in Science.
