The School District's Energy Conservation Department, in conjunction with Tampa Electric Company, will provide training for district maintenance staff that will encompass evaluation of the cause of power outages at schools, and identification of information and reporting procedures and requirements in the event of an outage. The object of the training is to expedite the restoration of electrical service in the event of an outage and to prevent accidents during assessments through a greater awareness of potential hazards. This proactive approach to training will help ensure a timely restoration of power in the event of an active hurricane season.
