Approve Renewal Agreement for Technical Services for Spanish Language Translation Services for Exceptional Student Education - Eduardo R. Hernandez - $5,486.78 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Spanish language translation services are required to ensure that families receive information that impacts educational planning for their children. A renewal Agreement for Technical Services has been developed with Eduardo R. Hernandez to provide translation services for exceptional student education and Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS) that include text translation of brochures, fliers, parent notices, and other documents as well as verbal translation at community and parent meetings.
This provider has demonstrated ability to provide expert translation services. Services will be provided on an hourly basis as needed for the period July 26, 2006, through August 31, 2007.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Goal 5 - The District will close the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds of $5,486.78 are included in the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) grant, Project 1296. There are no additional costs to the District.
