Approve Teacher Training Instructors for Professional Study Day, July 31, 2006 (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

The attached list contains the names of professional staff members in our School District who plan and conduct training programs for teachers and other employees for Professional Study Day. Instruction includes subject areas within Middle and Secondary Education, Guidance Services and Technical and Career. This agenda item represents approximately 1,226 hours of instructional inservice. The total number of instructors to be hired by the date of the event is not known at this time; permission is requested to add or delete instructors’ names to the attached list as needed.

District Goals 1 and 4 - Reading as a Foundation for Academic Achievement and Staff Recruitment and Retention.

Part I Funds in the amount of $23,459.99, are used for instructor preparation. The rate of $24.79 per hour plus fringe is used for calculating the rate of pay.

Teachers are asked at the completion of their training to evaluate the presenter and the delivery of the content.
