On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Howard and Associates Architects, P.A. and Allstate Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Cannella, McKitrick, Forest Hills, Lake Magdalene, and Mort Elementary Schools. These additions are necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the following additions: 14 classrooms at Cannella, 18 classrooms at McKitrick, 18 classrooms at Forest Hills, 16 classrooms at Lake Magdalene, and 12 classrooms at Mort.

This change order provides for new landscaping at the front of Mort Elementary School. Landscaping had been omitted from the recent renovation project, with plans to add landscaping at the conclusion of all site work.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.
