EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
These projects were planned by The Architectural Practice. On March 12, 2002, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Rodda Construction. A preplanning evaluation determined that the Just Elementary facility could not be renovated in a cost-effective manner. Existing buildings were demolished with the exception of the recently constructed Media Center. A new elementary school to house approximately 576 students was constructed on the site. The existing Stewart Technology Lab was demolished and a replacement lab was constructed to allow the Just multipurpose dining room to be attached to the existing Stewart kitchen which was remodeled to accommodate both schools. A 14 classroom addition to house 308 students at Stewart was constructed. The full-service school components will be relocated on campus to provide better accessibility to the public.
This change order provides for correction of a previous error on Change Order 4. Construction Change Directive 44R was inadvertently included in both Change Orders 3 and 4, and should have only been included in Change Order 3.
