Approve Renewal Contractual Agreement with Carlton Palms Educational Center, Inc., for Student with Autism Spectrum Disorder, 2006/2007 - $54,148.80 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Florida Department of Children and Families placed a student (A. F.) with autism spectrum disorder at the Carlton Palms Educational Center, Inc., in March 1997 for services due to significant behavior/physical control problems. The student is now 21 years old. The primary emphasis of this placement is comprehensive assessment with the projection of long-term support from the Florida Department of Children and Families. The renewal Contractual Agreement provides continuation of services for the student for 2006/2007.
The District is responsible for the assurance of the provision of exceptional student education services for the duration of this placement. The FTE generated for the 2006-07 school has been calculated based on the Base Student Allocation for Hillsborough County and the Matrix of Services developed for the student.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Goal 1 - The percentage of students scoring at Level 3 or higher on FCAT reading will increase a minimum of 5 percentage points.
Goal 2 - The percentage of students scoring at Level 3 or higher on FCAT mathematics will increase a minimum of 5 percentage points.
Goal 3 - Student performance on FCAT Science will increase a minimum of 5 percentage points.
Goal 4 - The percentage of students achieving a score of 4.0 or higher on FCAT Writing will increase a minimum of 5 percentage points.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds are generated from FTE in the amount of $54,148.80 and are included in the divisional general operating budget.
