Modify Existing 2006-2007 Payroll Schedules (Business Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Request modification to change the previously approved:
  1. Friday, November 10, 2006, payday to Thursday, November 9, 2006, to accommodate direct deposits and delivery of payments via U. S. Mail. November 10, 2006, is a federal holiday for Veteran's Day. Federal governmental agencies and financial institutions will be closed on the previously approved payday.

  2. January 2007 sick leave accrual schedules for less than 12 month employees from 1/2-day accrual on the 01/05/07 and 01/19/07 paydays to no accrual on the 01/05/07 payday and a full 1‑day accrual on 01/19/07. This change is required because scheduled paid days must exist for accruals to be possible. Teachers and other less than 12-month personnel are scheduled for either zero scheduled hours or up to one paid day during the pay period that will be paid on 01/05/07. Thanks to the equalized pay process, most employees will be compensated on the 01/05/07 payday in spite of the non-paid Winter Break holiday.
