Approve the Agreement for Technical Services for New Frontier 21, LLC Who Will Design and Deliver a Leadership Academy for Administrators of Selected Corrective Action Title I Schools (Student Services & Federal Programs Division)

Anthony Muhammad, consultant with New Frontier 21, LLC will present a three-day Leadership Academy to selected administrators of fourteen Title I Corrective Action Schools, seven elementary and seven secondary (see attachment). This academy will follow-up the "Professional Learning Communities at Work" training and continue to support administrators and district Title I staff to coach schools and their staff through the collaboration process. The specific objectives of this academy are as follows: (1) Principal as a School Leader, (2) Utilizing Data to Improve Student Learning, and (3) Organizational Support for Implementation of Professional Learning Communities. Mr. Muhammad will also spend three days in schools providing on-site support and coaching. During those on-site visits, Mr. Muhammad will customize solutions to meet the individual needs of the selected schools.

Goal 5 - The District will eliminate the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

The amount of $20,046 will be paid using Title I funds.

Anticipated: By May 21, 2007, all participants will complete an opinionnaire designed to measure the quality of the academy provided by New Frontier 21, LLC.
