On October 7, 2003, the Board awarded a contract to Tomasino & Associates, Inc. for engineering services on a continuing basis. Tomasino & Associates, Inc. has recently been acquired by IBI Group, Inc., a subsidiary of IBI Group, an Ontario, Canada partnership. Prior to the acquisition, the District issued task orders pursuant to Tomasino's continuing contract for engineering services for reclaimed water connection projects at Essrig, Claywell, Schwarzkopf, and Sickles. The engineering work required by the task orders has been initiated by Tomasino & Associates, Inc., but is not complete. Assignment of the contract and resultant obligations to IBI Group is recommended, to allow completion of the aforementioned task orders and avoid a delay in project implementation.
