EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Schenkel Shultz Architecture and Turner Construction to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Boyette Springs, Cimino, Kingswood, Riverview and Ruskin Elementary Schools. These additions are necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the construction of 16 additional classrooms at Boyette Springs, Cimino, and Ruskin Elementary Schools, and 10 additional classrooms at Kingswood and Riverview Elementary Schools.

Change Order No. 4 provides for the direct purchase of materials by the District. Change Order No. 5 provides for additional electrical service at Cimino Elementary School as required by Tampa Electric Company. Change Order No. 6 provides for additional storm water drainage work at Ruskin and Riverview Elementary Schools as required by the Southwest Florida Water Mangement District.

Goal 6 - All schools in the district will be assigned a state grade of A, B, or C.
