EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Donna Caslin, Martinez Middle School and Ron Sharitz, Riverview High School were each recognized by both the Florida Technology Education Association (FTEA) and the International Technology Education Association (ITEA). These two professional organizations are dedicated to the enhancement of science, engineering, and mathematics through technology education programs in grades three through twelve.
The FTEA honors one technology education program from each middle and high school and one technology educator from each middle and high school for “Excellence” in presenting science, engineering, and mathematics concepts through technology education.
Donna Caslin and her technology education program at Martinez Middle School were recognized as the Middle School Technology Program of Excellence.
Ron Sharitz, Riverview High School, was recognized as the High School Technology Teacher of Excellence.
