SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Evaluation Results and Continuation of the Superintendent's Contract.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
School Board members have completed the Superintendent's annual evaluation process. All seven (7) Board members rated the Superintendent satisfactory or above satisfactory in all standards. Thus, her overall performance is Above Satisfactory on the rating scale. The average rating of the seven evaluations was 38.8 points out of a maximum of 45 points. Mrs. MaryEllen Elia received a performance rating of 272 points out of 315 points. The compilation results of the evaluation are found in Attachment A. Comments collected from her evaluations are reflected in Attachment B. In accordance with the language in the Superintendent's contract, the length of her contract is automatically extended one year and her base salary is increased by the same percentage increase as teachers.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
By contract, the satisfactory evaluation and contract extension will impact the operating budget by $21,500--establishing Mrs. Elia's 2006-2007 salary at $236,500.
