Approve Candidates for 2006-2008 Mentor/Protege Program.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Based on the 1990 recommendation of the Minority Recruitment Taskforce, the district initiated the Mentor/Protege program--a two-year intensive training program for interested certificated, tenured teachers who have been identified as having administrative potential. (List of candidates is attached.)

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The two-year budget of the Mentor/Protege program is $20,272.60. Funds are provided through District Staff Development.
