Approve All School Advisory Council Composition Forms, School Advisory Council Budgets, School Improvement Plans, and Waivers, 2006/2007 (School Improvement and Accountability) – (Included Attachments – Three Sample School Improvement Plans)

Florida Statutes 1001.42(16) and 1001.452 require School Boards to annually review and approve the composition of School Advisory Councils and Budgets as well as School Improvement Plans (SIP) and Waivers for every school in the district.

All schools completed and submitted full documentation for 2006/2007. A sample elementary, middle, and high school SIP is included. The composition of each School Advisory Council has been reviewed and is in compliance with the terms approved in the Hillsborough County Charter District Plan. School Improvement Plans, Waivers, and Budgets have been reviewed by the Administrator of School Improvement and Accountability and appropriate district staff. All Waivers submitted are standard and have been pre-approved by the Board. Standard Waivers include: Paras as Subs, Banking Sub Days, Block Scheduling, (high school), Calendar Changes, ESE Uniforms, High School Graduation, and Uniforms (mandatory and voluntary).

All District Goals and Critical Success Factors

Each school is provided funding of approximately $10 per FTE for developing and implementing their School Improvement Plans.
