On October 17, 1984, the District entered into a lease with Hillsborough County to locate the Dorothy Thomas School on the grounds of the Children's Services Center. Both District staff and Children's Services have worked to amend the current lease to incorporate current facility operations and maintenance responsibilities. The lease will be for a term of five years with a rental amount of $1.00 beginning on March 1, 2007, and expiring on February 29, 2012, with the option to extend for five successive terms of one year each, subject to the same terms and conditions as in the original lease.
