SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Renewal Collaborative Partnership Agreements with Community-based and Faith-based Agencies, 2006/2007 – Total: $200,349.87 (Adult and Community Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Adult and Community Education Department has received approval for the implementation of six major grant projects, totaling $1,363,820, under the Florida Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education, for supplemental funding for local adult education and family literacy programs. A primary component of these projects is the development of effective partnerships. Partnership descriptions and budget information for the renewal collaborative agreements are attached.
- School Enrichment Resource Volunteers in Education, Inc. (SERVE, Inc.) - $7,000
- Cooperative Extension Services - $5,400
- Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg - $3,600
- Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Detention Department - $5,000
- Hillsborough Community College- $179,349.87

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Grant funds of $200,349.87 are included in the division special revenue/federal programs budget. All costs are included in grant funds and there is no additional cost to the district.
EVALUATION
Performance evaluation measures are determined by the Florida Department of Education. The annual progress report will be completed in December 2007. The results will be shared with all stakeholders.
