EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
With two of the five school psychologists in the Pre-K department on maternity leave, it is necessary to increase Contract #1268A by $6,984.28 to meet the requirements of the Pre-K school psychological assessment services. FDLRS also participates in Pre-K assessments of at-risk children, 3-5 years of age, as well as child study team meetings for the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners Head Start Program. This provider conducts school psychological evaluations of these children with Pre-K teams when school psychologists are on leave or not available to pair with other team members week days or on weekends. This provides FDLRS with quality assessment and more flexibility in scheduling and bringing closure to cases in our Pre-K backlog. This provider also attends Head Start manager meetings to allow Pre-K school psychologists more time in assessment.
