THONOTOSASSA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
REMEDIATION OF CONSTRUCTION DEFICIENCIES
APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The renovation project was planned by the architectural firm of Ruyle Masters Hayes + Jennewein Architects. On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Heery International, Inc. This firm has since abandoned the project leaving construction deficiencies that need to be addressed. Ellis Construction Company has been selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide construction services.

Approval of expenditure to Ellis Construction Company will permit correction of these deficiencies. Project completion is scheduled for February 28, 2007.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Goal 6 - All schools in the district will be assigned a state grade of A, B, or C.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Total cost of the project is $154,171. Funding will be derived from Public Education Capital Outlay 2003 and 2004.
