On March 8, 2005, the Board appointed the architectural firm of Ruyle Hayes + Jennewein Architects P.A. to provide design services for a new gymnasium. On September 15, 2006, the scope of design services was expanded to provide for the replacement of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system as a separate project. The scope was subsequently expanded to include interior repainting and replacement of floor finishes. The project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). The low bidder, Air Mechanical & Service Corp., is recommended. Project completion is scheduled for December 17, 2007.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

Total funds in the amount of $2,894,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill. The contract amount being awarded is $2,894,000.
