EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and R.J. Bunbury Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Crestwood, Egypt Lake, Mendenhall, and Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary Schools. These additions are necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the following additions: 20 classrooms at Crestwood, 12 classrooms at Egypt Lake, 14 classrooms at Mendenhall, and 16 classrooms at Tampa Bay Boulevard. Due to budget and cost issues, Roosevelt Elementary School, which was formerly in Package 3, is being handled separately.
This change order provides for a chain link fence system and relocation of double gates around the retention pond at Mendenhall Elementary School. It also provides for the replacement of deteriorated electrical breaker enclosure at existing lift station, relocation of Tampa Electric Company's service power pole, and electrical system conversions in Classrooms 311 and 312 to a Computer Room and Math/Computer Room at Crestwood Elementary School.
