Approve the Recommendation for Supervisor of NCLB (No Child Left Behind) Choice, Effective March 11, 2007 (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

This position is available due to the retirement of Dr. Nancy Sardinas-Lambert. This supervisor will have the responsibility for planning, implementing and reporting all activities associated with our state approved providers for Supplemental Educational Services (SES). Supervision for this program is necessary under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and subsequent re-authorization of NCLB. The duties include, but are not limited to, providing parents the option to transfer their child from a school identified for Title I school improvement to a school not so identified. This position will have the responsibility of a budget of over $9 million in Title I, Part A funds.
