Approve Amendment to the Federal Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Grant 2006/2007 - Additional $312,006 (Career and Technical Education and Adult Technical Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On May 16, 2006, the School Board approved the 2006/2007 grant application to the Florida Department of Education for federal Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Grant funds. In August 2006, the district was awarded $2,912,244. Additional roll-forward funds of $312,006 are available as follows:

Secondary Programs - $208,324

Postsecondary Programs - $87,706
-
Tech Prep Programs - $15,976.
The additional $312,006 brings the grant total to $3,224,250. Summaries of the funding proposals are attached.

All District Goals and Critical Success Factors
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The additional $312,006 will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget. Grant funds cover all costs for Perkins initiatives.
EVALUATION
April 2008. Perkins performance measures are negotiated between the State and the Federal Government and the completed evaluation report for the 2006/2007 grant will be provided to the school district.
