Approve Technical Services Agreement with Attorney Gavin W. O'Brien (Administration Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Gavin W. O’Brien, Attorney, will explain in detail Policies and Summary of Procedures at the School Board Workshop on Tuesday, March 6, 2007.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Attorney Gavin O’Brien, Florida Administrative Lawyer, will provided training and related handouts to the School Board members on School Board Policies and Summary of Procedures. He will explain in detail: what a rule is; why adapt rules; the State penalties for not adopting rules; and District size and style impact. Attorney O’Brien previously was the School Board Attorney in Miami-Dade and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1974.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
This item will cost $200 and will be paid from the Division of Administration General Operating Fund.
