EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project was planned by the engineering firm of Tanase & Associates, Inc. On June 6, 2006, the Board appointed the firm of Alarm and Communications Systems, Inc., for the project completion. The scope of work provided for demolition and installation of fire alarm systems at Cypress Creek, Trapnell, and Yates Elementary Schools, and Technology Repair Center. The scope of work also provided for demolition and installation of intercom systems at Cypress Creek, Trapnell, and Yates Elementary Schools.
Change Order No. 1 provides equipment for four additional portables at Cypress Creek, fire alarm shutdown for eleven rooftop air conditioners added at Trapnell, and additional equipment required to interface with new classroom building added at Yates. A time extension is included for completion of the work. Change Order No. 2 provides a credit for deletion of equipment for relocatable classrooms no longer present at Yates. It also provides for equipment, gas valve, and gas line relocation to provide exterior access for additional relocatable classroom at Cypress Creek.
The engineer advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill and Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Maintenance.
