EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Renewal Educational Agreements have been developed to continue to provide training for 13 building trades apprenticeship committees. The apprenticeship committees are compensated $2,000 for each Occupational Completion Point (OCP) earned by each program the previous year. The contracted funds are used to cover instructor salaries/benefits; program promotion; instructional materials and supplies; equipment upgrade, replacement and repair; other supervisory and administrative costs to include, but not limited to, lease expenses for classroom facilities and equipment, travel, mileage, conferences, and professional meetings.
The funding amounts shown below are estimates as the final allocation will be based on 2006/2007 student completion data. Renewal of the educational agreements is requested for the following registered apprenticeship programs:
Tampa Central Florida Asbestos Workers Joint Apprenticeship Committee $18,000
Central North Florida Carpenters and Millwrights Training Fund (Carpenters) $82,000
Hillsborough Association of Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Apprenticeship Committee $58,200
Central North Florida Carpenters and Millwrights Training Fund (Millwrights) $84,000
Florida West Coast Trowel Trades Joint Apprenticeship Committee $46,000
Ironworkers Joint Apprenticeship Committee $76,000
Sheet Metal Workers Local 15 J.A.T.C. and Trust Fund $120,000
Tampa Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee $262,000
Jacksonville Central North Florida Carpenters & Millwrights Training Fund $62,000
Jacksonville Electrical Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee $412,000
Jacksonville Plumbers & Pipefitters Joint Apprenticeship & Training Trust $276,000
Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 435 Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee $70,000
