EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Lomax, Shore, Muller, and MacFarlane Park Elementary Schools, and Williams Middle Magnet School were awarded Magnet Schools of Excellence.
Lee, Lincoln, and Lockhart Elementary Magnet Schools; Progress Village, Stewart, and Young Middle Magnet Schools; and Tampa Bay Technical High School were awarded Magnet Schools of Distinction.
Rampello Downtown Partnership Magnet School of Cultural Arts and Humanities was awarded the New and Emerging Magnet Schools of Merit Award.
We are proud to announce that Philip Shore and Dunbar Elementary Schools are two of three finalists for the Dr. Ronald Simpson Distinguished Merit Award. The winner will be announced May 1 at the conference. The highest honor awarded in the nation is the Dr. Ronald Simpson Distinguished Merit Award. The Distinguished Merit Award recognizes “commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, successful desegregation/diversity efforts, and the consistent delivery of quality services to all school stakeholders.”
