MODEL DATABASE TRACKING SYSTEM FOR SCHOOL CONCURRENCY IMPLEMENTATION
ACCEPTANCE OF STATE-FUNDED SUBGRANT AGREEMENT
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA TO DEVELOP MODEL DATABASE

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The School District of Hillsborough County is one of four counties to be awarded a grant from the Department of Community Affairs to pilot the effort to create a “Model Database Tracking System for School Concurrency Implementation." The creation of a tracking and monitoring system such as this database is a necessary tool to ensure that the school concurrency program is successful. The final product will allow the District to track new developments and assess their impacts on available school capacity.

Attached are two contracts:
1) Contract with the Department of Community Affairs to receive the grant and submit the deliverables. The Scope of Work (“Attachments A and B”) stipulates the necessary steps, time frame, and financial breakdown to accomplish the preparation of the database.

2) Interlocal Agreement with the University of Florida to provide the consulting services to develop the Model Database Tracking System. The University staff was part of the team that prepared the documents for the original pilot project for school concurrency. They prepared the data and analysis component of that project.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The District will be awarded $35,000 in grant funding. The grant will provide reimbursement for certain costs and/or consulting fees associated with the preparation of the Model Database as outlined in the Scope of Work. The grant monies will ultimately be paid to the University of Florida as they will be developing the deliverables for this project.
