On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed rojo Architecture and Mathews Construction of Tampa to provide design and construction management services for the classroom and media center additions and remodeling of the existing media center to classrooms. These additions were necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provided for the following: 12 new classrooms and one new media center, remodeling of the existing media center to four classrooms, replacement of the fire alarm and intercom systems, and replacement of a small amount of existing phenolic roofing.

This change order provides credits for project savings, return of unused contingency funds, and final reconciliation of the Owner Controlled Insurance Program.

These items are included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids (classroom additions), Public Education Capital Outlay (fire alarm and intercom replacement), and 2 Mill (phenolic roofing replacement).
