EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On January 17, 2006, the Board appointed Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. and Christiano Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The scope of work includes 24 new classrooms plus 2 student toilets, providing 600 additional student stations. This addition is necessary to meet class size reduction requirements.

Change Order No. 1 provides for a time extension and General Conditions necessitated by delay in project startup. Change Order No. 2 provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District. Change Order No. 3 provides for modifications to the existing student emergency egress located at the west stairwell. Change Order No. 4 provides for increase in scope to retrofit the existing fire sprinkler system, provide a fire sprinkler system for new classroom addition, and related General Conditions. A time extension is included for completion of the work.
