EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project is being planned by the architectural firm of The Rosier Alliance. On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of JBD Construction.
The scope of work provides for the renovation of gang toilets for ADA accessibility, upgrading of fire alarm and security systems, restoration of wood floors in old classrooms, telephone system replacement, and door hardware replacement for ADA accessibility. Mechanical work includes replacement of four classroom air conditioning units, main electrical switch gear, and electrical panels. Exterior work includes painting, dumpster enclosure relocation, correction of site grading issues, and the addition of perimeter security fencing and gates, bus drop-off canopy, and ramps to provide ADA accessibility.
Approval of the schematic design and design development phases will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents. Project completion is scheduled for July 2005.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction budget is $1,193,212. The estimate of probable cost is $1,063,649. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Qualified Zone Academy Bonds.
