SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Articulation Agreement with Hillsborough Community College for TECH PREP Secondary Environmental Studies Program (Career and Technical Education)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

For the past 15 years, the School District and Hillsborough Community College (HCC) have worked collaboratively in implementing Tech Prep Programs of Study, districtwide and collegewide. One major component has been the establishment of articulation agreements allowing district secondary students the opportunity to enter degree-seeking programs at the community college.

We are requesting approval of the Articulation Agreement which has been developed for the secondary agriculture program, Environmental Studies Program, to allow students to earn 7 credits toward an HCC Associate in Science degree in the Environmental Science Program. This agreement has been established with the Plant City campus of HCC.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

All district Tech Prep programs are FTE-earning and are included in the divisional general operating budget.
