SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project is being planned by the engineering firm of Kisinger Campo & Associates Corp. (KCA). The scope of work provides for the following asphalt pavement renovations: athletic tracks at Armwood High School, East Bay High School (runways only), and Coleman and Van Buren Middle Schools; parking areas at Kenly and Lake Magdalene Elementary Schools, and Adams, Greco, and Webb Middle Schools; and the Bus Transfer Depot at the Instructional Services Center. The scope also includes an optional item for a rubberized track surface at Armwood High School.
The project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). Award of the project, including the optional rubberized track surface, to the low bidder, Alto Construction Company, is recommended.
Project completion is scheduled for September 29, 2007.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Total funds in the amount of $1,068,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill. Funds in the amount of $44,789 will be provided from Armwood High School. The contract amount being awarded is $1,112,789.
