Approve Agreements for Technical Service for Auditors for the Preparing New Educators Teacher Portfolios Through Teacher Training, Staff Development (Information and Technology Division)

The District is committed to providing quality support for new teachers. Auditors will collect, review, and evaluate the new teacher portfolios completed at school sites during the 2006-2007 school year.

The Auditors will provide an overall assessment of each portfolio based upon state and district requirements for new teacher support programs (including the 12 Accomplished Practices).

Agreements for Technical Service have been prepared for the attached list of Auditors. In order to effectively complete the audit, permission is requested to add and delete Auditors as needed, not to exceed the budgeted amount of $18,000.

Funds in the amount of $18,000 are included in the Staff Development budget, Project 4502.

The auditors will record results by school and area. The results of the area audit will be compiled by Staff Development and disseminated to Area Directors and District Personnel.
