SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve A Petty Check Bank Account for the Child Care Training Office (Business Office)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Petty Check/Change Funds are established or altered with School Board approval in compliance with State Board of Education rules Chapter 6a-1.057. These are impressed funds transferred from district budget to the schools so that each school can make emergency purchases or have change to operate lunchrooms and athletic events. When funds are expended for purchases, the school submits receipts to Accounts Payable. The school is then reimbursed, and the school's budget is reduced by the amount of the purchase.

As part of a partnership with the Department of Children and Families, the District's Child Care Training Office has been selected for a pilot program. This program allows participants to pay for child care competency exams online. This account will facilitate these payments. Signers will be:

  • Paula C. Clark, Principal
  • Donald Wade, Assistant Principal
  • Marta Lopez-Harrison, Coordinator
  • ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Goal 6: No school should receive a grade lower than C.

    FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Costs incurred for printing new checks and deposit slips will be offset by interest earned on daily balances.
