On February 13, 2007, the School Board accepted the Procurement Management Assistance Plan developed by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP). The study included a wide range of recommendations regarding the Procurement Department organizational structure, strategic focus and business processes.
The Business Division is in the process of implementing many of these recommendations. This workshop will provide an opportunity for the Board to review and discuss the current status of these efforts and the plans for moving forward.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
The four focus goals of Student Achievement, Safety, Human Resource Management and Financial Management are addressed by this project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Savings and efficiencies are anticipated as a result of the implementation of the NIGP study recommendations, but a financial analysis was not part of the study.
EVALUATION
The Procurement Transformation Project will be evaluated by the completion of tasks per the implementation plan.
