On May 1, 2002, the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners entered into a General Cooperative Agreement regarding the enhancement of the recreational facilities and programs provided to the children in rapidly growing areas of the County. In this respect, the District and County agreed to locate a soccer field on the campus of Kingswood Elementary School adjacent to a County park. Kingswood will have use of the field during regular school hours and the County usage would begin after regular school hours. The field has been constructed by the County and will be maintained by the County. Irrigation will be provided by a system installed by the County and supplied by a well on the adjacent County park land.

This agreement creates a positive situation for both the District and the County to provide a joint beneficial use of property for the community and our children.
