SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Agreement for Technical Services with Professor Joe Martin in Conjunction with Real World University to Provide A Speaking Engagement for Administrators (Student Services & Federal Programs Division and Information & Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Joe Martin will share successful strategies to help administrators motivate teachers during “tough times.” Site-based administrators will hear suggestions on how to reach and teach difficult students while maintaining the students' respect. The administrators will be given techniques on how to help teachers stay vibrant and engaged in their career.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Goal 5 – The District will eliminate the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
This project is supported by the Staff Development budget in the amount of $6,300.
EVALUATION
It is anticipated, that the experience of hearing Professor Martin, will provide school-based administrators additional tools in their tool box to help teachers better understand their students.
