Approve the Renewal Memorandum of Agreement with Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) for the Full Service School Program (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

This renewal Memorandum of Agreement is in effect July 18, 2007, through June 30, 2008. The staff of the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) has requested permission to co-locate the Prodigy, a Cultural arts program, at the Kimbell Full Service School. This after-school and evening program will be co-located at Kimbell.

Goal 5 – The District will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

The total funding of $12,328.35 will be allocated to the School District from the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) for paying a teacher to provide supervision after regular school hours when other staff are no longer on campus.

The Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) is responsible for program evaluation in this partnership. The evaluation will be completed by CDC staff and contracted evaluators, including faculty from the University of South Florida. Program evaluation data is due to the Supervisor of School Social Work Services on July 31, 2008. This information will be shared with the Kimbell Full Service School partners and the Hillsborough County School Board in August of 2008.
