APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On November 9, 2006, the Board appointed Holmes Hepner and Associates Architects and J.O. DeLotto & Sons, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. This addition is necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the addition of 10 classrooms.

Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facility. Project completion is scheduled for August 4, 2008.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Construction cost is warranted at $1,839,477, which includes $345,671 for extraordinary site conditions and group toilets mandated by hurricane shelter requirements. The construction budget is $1,839,500. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids.
